Data Catalog

A data catalog functions as a complete inventory of an organization's data resources, facilitating swift access for users to meet their organizational and analytical demands efficiently.

A data catalog is a centralized repository for organizing and indexing metadata about data resources. It improves data efficiency, enables data collaboration, and ensures data governance, enhancing decision-making and reducing risks. Data catalogs gather data from diverse sources, creating a comprehensive inventory for use across various applications.

This tool uses Neo4j database to store the data in the data catalog.

Catalog Organization

The Data catalog can be accessed on the left sidebar of the tool. In the top section, you'll find catalogs, which are similar to folders in a file system. Inside each catalog, there are tables, which are similar to files found within a folder as shown in the screenshot below.
